Criminal Figure 'Fat Rustam' Flees in Armored Mercedes of 'Don Pippo'
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Article 297, Part 2, Clause 1 and Article 452, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the case was opened yesterday, August 22, based on the assault that occurred in central Yerevan, in front of the court of general jurisdiction for the Kentron and Nor Nork administrative districts.
As reported, during the altercation, police officers intervened to stop the fight, during which one officer from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police sustained injuries. The media notes that a Mercedes with Russian plates approached a group of individuals, leading to the argument and subsequent fight.
Shamshyan's sources indicate that the armored vehicle with Russian plates belongs to the notorious criminal figure 'Don Pippo', and was being driven by Rustam Stepanyan, known as 'Fat Rustam'. The police and investigative department possess information suggesting that the instigator of the conflict was 'Fat Rustam', who, knowing about the court proceedings taking place at the specified courthouse, deliberately drove around the area several times, provoking the individuals calmly standing in the court yard. As a result, these individuals approached him, and mutual insults began to be exchanged. At that moment, Rustam left his associates and fled in the armored Mercedes.
Several individuals who fled are being sought by the police. Rustam Stepanyan, known as 'Fat Rustam', who was in the armored vehicle, which is a Maybach, presented himself at the Erebuni division, whereas 'Faz' and several others have escaped. According to Shamshyan, two Maybachs, one Mercedes, and one Toyota have been transferred to the Erebuni police department.
