Alert: Temperatures Set to Rise, High Fire Danger Expected
Due to elevated thermal conditions and the absence of precipitation, a high level of fire danger is expected in the pre-mountainous and valley regions of the republic.
On August 22, short-lived thunderstorms are anticipated in some mountainous areas after noon on the 23rd. From August 24 to 27, dry weather is forecasted.
The wind will be from the northeast at 2-5 m/s. From August 22 to 25, in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as in Armavir, wind intensification of 14-17 m/s is expected during the evening hours.
The air temperature is expected to gradually rise by 2-4 degrees on August 26-27. In Yerevan city, dry weather is predicted for the afternoon of August 22 and from August 23-27. Wind intensification of 13-15 m/s is anticipated during the evening hours of August 22-25.
