A car belonging to Alexander Dugin's daughter, a prominent Russian political scientist referred to as the "ideologue of the Russian world," has exploded on a highway near Moscow. The woman died on the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, Dugin was supposed to be in the car but switched to another vehicle at the last moment.

The initial theory suggested the explosion was due to a gas canister, but authorities are now leaning towards the idea that a homemade explosive device detonated under the car. If this theory is confirmed, it is possible that Alexander Dugin himself was the intended target of the assassination attempt. This was reported by the BBC.

On Saturday, Alexander Dugin and his daughter Daria attended the "Tradition" patriotic festival, which is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow region, and the Odintsovo administration.
