Iran's MFA Responds to Publications Circulated Under the Name of Its Former Ambassador in Armenia

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi, the former ambassador of Iran to Armenia and currently an advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister, does not have any social media accounts.

This clarification from the Iranian MFA comes after various media outlets, including Armenian ones, published materials citing a Twitter account purportedly belonging to Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi. Particularly, on August 11, Armenian media reported a post from this alleged Twitter account, which stated that the transfer of terrorists by Turkey from Syria to Azerbaijan and their presence near Iran’s borders is unacceptable.

In the post, it was noted, “After Greece, Cyprus, Armenia, Syria, and Iraq, Turkey is now planning malicious actions near Iran's borders. Turkey should know that it is playing with fire.”

This post was actively disseminated in Armenian media, and a similar article was published by the Armenpress news agency, which has since been removed based on the report from the Iranian IRNA agency, which stated that Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi does not have any social media account, including on Twitter.
