Veolia Water Aims to Increase Water Tariff

Veolia Water is planning to apply to the Public Services Regulatory Commission to revise the water tariff. The announcement regarding the forthcoming application has already been published in the press, as reported by Yerkir.am.

According to the statement, the company will officially propose to set the water supply and sewage tariff at 209 drams per cubic meter, replacing the current rate of 200 drams. The application is substantiated by an 8.3% inflation rate recorded during the first half of this year.

Due to the inflation, the revised pricing calculation indicates that the water supply tariff for citizens will be 177.6 drams per cubic meter, while the sewage (wastewater treatment) tariff will be 31.3 drams per cubic meter. Consequently, the total tariff will amount to 209 drams per cubic meter.

The wholesale drinking water supply service tariff will be set at 41.8 drams per cubic meter, and the sewage tariff will be 20.9 drams per cubic meter, bringing the total to 62.7 drams.

The recalculated price for the underground water removal service provided by the Yerevan Metro, named after Karen Demirchyan, will amount to 12.2 drams per cubic meter.
