Will Water Prices Increase? 'Veolia Water' Has Already Inquired About It

'Veolia Water' has submitted a request to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, proposing to set the water supply and wastewater tariff at 209 AMD per cubic meter, instead of the current 200 AMD. Liana Azizyan, the spokesperson for the Commission, stated in an interview with Radar Armenia that the Commission must review the application within a 10-day period and will publish all necessary documents on its official website.

When asked what the final tariff might be, Liana Azizyan mentioned that the Commission has 80 days to study the request. 'The Commission will further examine the proposal from 'Veolia Water' regarding the tariff, after which a decision will be made,' Liana Azizyan explained.

It is noteworthy that the proposal for a tariff increase was justified by an 8.3% inflation rate recorded during the first half of this year.
