Satellite Images Prove Azerbaijani Propaganda Machine is Lying

The enemy's propaganda machine is lying; satellite images refute the claims of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, writes Hetq.

The site also notes: "On August 3, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that in response to an alleged attempt by Armenian forces to capture the Krkhkiz peak in the Nagorno-Karabakh mountain range, the Azerbaijani side initiated operations, as a result of which it established control, particularly over the Krkhkiz peak.

However, satellite images prove that the Azerbaijani propaganda machine is lying. The Krkhkiz peak of Artsakh or Nagorno-Karabakh (2680 m), as shown in photos taken by the European 'Sentinel-2A' satellite, has remained under Azerbaijani control even before August 3. For instance, the photo shown below, taken on July 20 of this year, displays the road leading to Krkhkiz and the military position on the mountain (see in the blue circle).

The road leading to the mountain begins in the territory of the village of Shamakhi in Kashatagh, known in Azerbaijani as Shamakend.

Regarding the position of the Artsakh Defense Army, it is located approximately 2.6 km northeast in a straight line from the enemy-occupied position, at an altitude of 1900 m (in the red circle, see below; source: CNES/Airbus, the positions and roads are not visible in this satellite image as it was taken in August 2019).

Therefore, the claim of the Azerbaijani propaganda machine that they carried out an operation and established control over the Krkhkiz peak is false.
