Chavushoglu Discusses Armenian-Azerbaijani Negotiations

On August 2, a meeting of the foreign ministers and transport ministers of Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan took place in Tashkent, during which Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu addressed topics including the Middle Corridor, Armenian-Turkish, and Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, as reported by ermenihaber.

“With the historic declaration of Shusha, we elevated our relations with Azerbaijan to an allied level. Azerbaijan’s victory has shaped a new geopolitical balance in the South Caucasus, benefiting countries that support stability and cooperation. We call on everyone to seize this opportunity. We support the negotiations on communications, delimitation, and a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are also making steps towards the normalization of relations, advancing through meetings of special representatives and consulting with Azerbaijan,” said Chavushoglu.

He emphasized that “Turkey will provide the necessary support for the reconstruction and development of the ‘Eastern Zangezur’ and Karabakh economic zones.” According to him, the new transportation routes on the agenda will connect Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Anatolia, and the European region, contributing to the prosperity of the entire region: “The implementation of these projects will have a tremendous impact in many sectors, such as transportation, trade, and energy.”
