Ukrainian Armed Forces Strike Detention Facility in Donetsk: Casualties Reported

The Ukrainian forces have targeted a detention facility in the village of Yelenovka, Donetsk, using HIMARS rocket systems. The information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Last night, Kyiv carried out a deliberate bloody provocation. A missile strike was launched from the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system at a detention facility in the Yelenovka area, where Ukrainian prisoners of war, including members of the 'Azov' battalion, are held,” the statement said.

As a result of the strike, 40 Ukrainian captives were reported killed, and 75 were injured, along with 8 staff members of the detention facility. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the aim of the strike on the facility was to intimidate Ukrainian military personnel considering surrendering.
