What Assets Does Jalal Harutyunyan Have? Declaration Released

The head of the Military Inspection Service of the Ministry of Defense, Jalal Harutyunyan, has presented his annual declaration for 2021. Tert.am has learned from the Commission for Prevention of Corruption that Harutyunyan has been the owner of an apartment in Stepanakert, Artsakh since 2001. He acquired another apartment in 2011 in the same city, which he received as an inheritance. Additionally, in 2007, he inherited a plot of land also located in Stepanakert.

In 2021, he purchased a 1996 Mercedes Benz GLE 450 4 MATIC passenger and cargo vehicle for $3,000. In his bank account, he declared 378,000 drams, while his cash declaration included 1.2 million drams at the beginning of the year, which decreased to 400,000 drams by year's end. His salary from the Ministry of Defense amounts to 9 million 571,000 drams. Harutyunyan has not declared any other assets.

His spouse, Medina Hovhannisyan, has declared a 2013 Toyota vehicle acquired in 2019, reported 610,000 drams in her bank account, and has $4,000 in cash. Her salary from the Tufenkian Foundation is 3 million 800,000 drams.
