VIDEO: 27-Year-Old Woman Stole 1,660,000 Drams from Neighbor's Home in 2 Months - What Did She Do with the Money?

A 27-year-old woman from Aygedzor village stole 1,660,000 drams from her neighbor's home within a period of two months. This information has been provided by the press service of the police.

It is reported that on July 25, one of the residents of Aygedzor village filed a complaint with the Tavush division of the police, stating that from June 15 to July 23, someone had entered his house by opening the front door and had stolen a significant amount of money from under the mattress in the bedroom.

Approximately two hours after the report, the victim's 27-year-old neighbor was arrested on suspicion of committing the theft. She admitted her guilt and recounted that back in early July, while being at her neighbor's house, she stole 200,000 drams from under the mattress. Later, on a day in mid-July, knowing that the house was unoccupied, she opened the door and took another 200,000 drams from the same mattress. Following that, taking advantage of the homeowners' inattentiveness, she stole money five more times in varying amounts.

The woman transferred 620,000 drams to her bank account, had 47,000 drams with her at the time of arrest, kept 100,000 drams at home, and used the remaining funds to pay off debts accrued at various shops and stalls in the village.

The woman has been presented to the Berd investigative department, and circumstances surrounding the case are being clarified.
