Head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service Discusses Cooperation with Armenian National Security Director
The head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, along with the Director of Armenia's National Security Service, Armen Abazyan, have discussed the issue of exchanging intelligence information.
According to Sputnik Armenia, Naryshkin shared this information with representatives of Russian media, noting that he had meetings with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Director Abazyan.
“During the meeting and negotiations, a high assessment was given to the substance and nature of the strategic partnership between our two countries, emphasizing the common fate of our two nations,” Naryshkin stated.
He remarked that the cooperation between the two countries is positively developing in economic, military-political, and humanitarian areas. A part of this cooperation involves collaboration between special services.
“Today, together with my colleague, we discussed the issues of exchanging intelligence information, as well as joint actions to reveal and prevent a whole range of external threats related to both Armenia and Russia,” Naryshkin mentioned.
According to him, these consultations will continue, and the parties are preparing a joint work program for the coming years. Naryshkin emphasized that the level of cooperation between the two countries is reliable and benefits both Yerevan and Moscow.
