Soldier's Death: Colleague Arrested

The Armenian Investigative Committee reports that within the framework of the criminal proceedings conducted by the military investigative department, significant details surrounding the death of conscript Arsen Armeni Manukyan have been uncovered, leading to the arrest of his fellow soldier.

It was previously reported that on July 14, 2022, at approximately 10:25 AM, conscript Arsen Armeni Manukyan was fatally injured by gunfire while performing observer duties at a combat position. The firearm involved was a type AKM rifle.

A petition has been submitted to the prosecutor's office to initiate criminal proceedings against Manukyan's colleague under the second part of Article 522, points 2 and 3 of the RA Criminal Code. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
