Temperature to Rise by Another 2-4 Degrees
The territory of the Republic continues to be under the influence of tropical hot air currents from the Arabian Peninsula, resulting in temperatures in the Ararat Plain, the low mountainous areas of Aragatzotn and Vayots Dzor, as well as in Yerevan, reaching +39…+42 degrees Celsius during the day from July 17 to 21.
High fire danger is also anticipated in the lowland and foothill regions of the Republic. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is expected to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
From July 17 to 21, dry weather is expected across the Republic. Winds will be southerly at 2-5 m/s. In Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Aragatzotn and Kotayk, wind intensification to 13-15 m/s is expected in the evening hours.
On July 17, temperatures will rise by another 2-4 degrees. In Yerevan, dry weather is also expected from July 17 to 21.
