PHOTOS: Major Car Accident in Gegharkunik Region - VAZ-2106 Flipped Over, Injured Reported

Today, on July 17, a major car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region.

At around 07:40, on the 53 km stretch of the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, a collision took place between a VAZ-2106 driven by 73-year-old Yuriy M. from Gegharkunik and a Honda driven by 37-year-old Karen A. from Kotayk.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the VAZ-2106 flipped over and partially blocked the road. The driver of the VAZ and his passenger, 52-year-old Khachik M., were transported to the Sevan Medical Center with bodily injuries.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Sevan Investigation Department regarding the accident.
