«This is another student bag, they said ‘go to court,’ and he went»: Ishkhan Saghatelyan on the Yerevan Mayor

Member of the National Assembly from the ‘Hayastan’ faction and a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), Ishkhan Saghatelyan, addressed the situation of the Yerevan Mayor suing him in an interview with News.am.

“This is another student bag, they said ‘go to court,’ and he went. It is obvious to me that they are being rewarded by the Turks for breaking the people's resistance, for persecuting us, for killing Armenians, and for imprisoning people. However, none of their actions surprise or anger me anymore,” Saghatelyan stated.

He added, “One case more, one case less, they cannot in any way deter us with their illegal actions and measures, or constrain us in any way; this is excluded. Whatever they can do, let them do it, but they should remember that they will have to answer for it.”

Saghatelyan also mentioned that there will be a rally on whatever day and at whatever hour necessary. It is noted that the Yerevan Mayor has approached the court demanding accountability from Ishkhan Saghatelyan. According to the lawsuit, Saghatelyan conducted a gathering without informing the community head in accordance with the law.
