The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergey Shoigu, has ordered the strengthening of Russian Armed Forces operations in all directions. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“After listening to the report, the head of the Russian military department gave the necessary directives to enhance the operations of the groupings in all directions, aimed at excluding massive missile and artillery strikes by Kyiv on civilian infrastructure and residential areas in the Donbas and other regions,” the statement said.
Previously, the Russian Defense Ministry had announced that Shoigu had received reports from the commanders of the “South” and “Center” groupings regarding the current situation, the actions of the adversary, and the fulfillment of the tasks of the Russian Armed Forces during the special operation.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine has stated that he has been misunderstood. Additionally, the Russian Defense Minister awarded the “Golden Star” medal of Hero of Russia to Lieutenant General Alexander Lapin and Major General Esedula Abachev.
It is reminded that on the early morning of February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, as the LPR and DPR had requested assistance. Combat operations in Ukraine have been ongoing for 143 days.
