Political figure Naira Zohrapyan wrote on her Facebook page: 'Aremen died before my eyes. He was smiling, joking, making humor, and then... he died. It is worth mentioning that producer Armen Grigoryan died today in court. During the preliminary hearings of his case at the 'Center' venue of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, his health deteriorated. During the court session, while his lawyer Ruben Melikyans was speaking, Grigoryan fainted.

Armen Grigoryan had been in custody since May 17. On May 17, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia announced that Grigoryan had been arrested within the framework of a criminal case launched over the public humiliation of national dignity.
