Dozens of People Have Died Due to Heat in Spain in Two Days
Extreme heat in Spain has led to the deaths of 43 people in just two days. This was reported on July 15 by Telecinco, as conveyed by Armenpress. According to the channel, the Carlos III Health Institute, which is part of the Kingdom's Ministry of Health, has calculated that 43 people died due to excessively high temperatures on July 10 and 11.
As reported by Antena 3, the majority of these individuals were over the age of 75. In June, the country recorded 829 heat-related deaths, and in July, the number stood at 111.
The Spanish State Meteorological Agency has raised the weather warning level to yellow (risk) and orange (high risk) in many regions. Furthermore, in several provinces, the alert level has been elevated to the highest alert, red (extreme risk). Temperatures could reach nearly 45 degrees Celsius, TASS reported.
