Pleasant Process: Alen Simonyan on Revoking Mandates from Opposition

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, describes the process of revoking mandates from opposition members as "very pleasant." Today, journalists inquired about what process has begun in the parliament regarding the mandates, to which Simonyan responded, "Very pleasant."

When asked whether this process would take place, the Speaker of the National Assembly replied, "It is a legal requirement; it cannot not happen."

It is worth noting that on July 14, Alen Simonyan will submit a request to the Constitutional Court regarding the revocation of mandates from all members of the "Hayastan" and "Pativ Unem" factions. A total of 33 deputies are included in this list. Notably absent are the names of Taguhi Tovmasyan, a member of the "Pativ Unem" faction, and Ishkhan Zakaryan, who left that faction.
