Extraordinary incident in Yerevan: 54-year-old man stabbed, suspect is his wife

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case following a stabbing incident that occurred yesterday, July 3, in Yerevan.

According to Shamshyan.com, at around 19:30 that day, operational information was received at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Directorate of Police. Subsequently, investigators, in cooperation with officers from the Erbuni Division of Police, acted on this information and discovered that during a dispute in an apartment located on Movses Khorenatsi street, 37-year-old A. G. had stabbed her 54-year-old husband, A. K.

Shortly thereafter, the Erbuni Medical Center notified the Erbuni division of police that A. K. had been admitted with a "stab wound to the left side of the chest." An operational group from the Erbuni division, led by Deputy Chief Yeranosyan, arrived at the scene. While doctors at the 'Erbuni' Medical Center fought to save the victim's life, which they succeeded in doing, police managed to locate the woman, detaining her and subsequently presenting her to the Erbuni Investigative Division, where she was arrested on the investigator's order.
