Tragic Incident in Gegharkunik Province: Driver Hits and Kills 13-Year-Old Nephew in Noratus Village
On July 3, a tragic incident occurred in Gegharkunik Province. Around 8:30 PM, the Gavarr Medical Center notified the police department of Gavarr that a child had been admitted with a diagnosis of 'polytrauma.'
According to Shamshyan.com, police officers discovered that the victim was 13-year-old Karen M., a resident of Noratus village. According to the child's relatives, he sustained his injuries as a result of a car accident.
Investigators learned that at approximately 8:20 PM, 44-year-old Arsen M. from Noratus village struck Karen M. with his VAZ-2121 vehicle, which had no license plates, on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Noratus. Karen was transported to the Gavarr Medical Center, where he succumbed hours later without regaining consciousness.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative actions to locate Arsen M.
The vehicle has been found by the road police and has been moved to a secure facility of the Gavarr police department as per the investigator's instructions.
According to G. Shamshyan, the deceased child was an 8th-grade student at Noratus High School No. 2 and was the nephew of the driver Arsen M.
