Tragic Hit-and-Run in Masis: 7-Year-Old Child Dies

A tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region today, June 30. Around 19:30, a resident of Ararat, 38-year-old Alisa Kh., struck a pedestrian, 7-year-old Aleks Ch., with her Nissan Maxima in the third district of Masis.

According to Shamshyan.com, the injured child was initially taken to the Masis Medical Center and subsequently transferred to the 'Surb Astvatsamayr' Medical Center in Yerevan.

While an examination of the scene was being conducted, the Masis police received a report from the 'Surb Astvatsamayr' Medical Center that the child had died in the hospital's intensive care unit.

According to G. Shamshyan, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code, and it will be forwarded to the Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
