If Putin Takes the Right Steps... The US Has Said When the War Will End

The initial plan of Russian President Vladimir Putin to conquer Ukraine remains unchanged, and Moscow will continue its offensive. This was stated by Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby in an interview with Bloomberg.

Commenting on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's assertion that the war could end by the end of 2022, Kirby noted that he does not share Zelensky's optimism.

The US defense official expressed the view that the war could end today if 'Putin takes the right steps,' but according to Kirby, the Kremlin leader shows no intention of negotiating.

He stated that under such circumstances, the US will continue to assist Ukraine and strengthen its defense.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the Ukrainian side could stop everything by the end of the current day. An order is needed for nationalist units to lay down their arms, an order for Ukrainian soldiers to disarm must comply with the conditions set by the Russian Federation. Everything could end by the end of the day.
