Lukashenko: 'One Should Not Shout That Putin Has Taken Over Belarus, He Does What He Wants'
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that Minsk and Moscow can build a relationship structure that will be envied by other countries worldwide. He remarked, 'We are not so foolish as to subjugate ourselves to anyone, as the West suggests. We are smart enough to allow our two independent countries to develop a relationship structure that the world envies. We are moving toward that,' said Lukashenko during a meeting in Minsk with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
He emphasized that it has already been 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Belarusian president highlighted that the two countries are pursuing a coordinated foreign policy.
'One should not shout that Putin has taken over Belarus, he does what he wants. We have a coordinated, rational policy of two sovereign states,' Lukashenko stressed. He declared that the leaders of both countries are completely sober and understand what is happening around them.
