Journalist Haikaram Nahapetyan stated on his Facebook page: "We are far from the Soviet deficit, but empty and half-empty showcases already exist in the USA. The prices of oil/gasoline have skyrocketed, and supplies have become expensive, failing to be organized properly... And in the autumn, there are Congressional/Senate elections. Either Biden needs to address the issue of empty showcases and lower gasoline prices, or there could be unpleasant surprises during the elections. When it comes time to vote, people will primarily look at the state of their family budget, not the military campaign in Ukraine."
