What is the Situation in Khachik Village Under Enemy Fire

Father Hovhannes Matevosyan, who serves in Khachik village, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the situation in the village. “My dear ones, in order not to respond to each of you individually, life in Khachik is going on in a normal way,” he wrote.

Later, he made another post: “I should add that the children in Khachik are occupied with summer camp.”

It is worth noting that the Chairperson of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, Taguhi Tovmasyan, wrote on her Facebook page that yesterday, around 8:30 AM, the enemy opened fire towards the Khachik administrative area with high intensity for about 10 minutes, resulting in damage to the vehicle of the area’s head, a Niva model.

Later, the Ministry of Defense confirmed the news, informing that on July 4, around 9:15 PM, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units opened fire from various small arms, including large-caliber weapons, towards the Armenian combat positions located at the western segment of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, specifically targeting the area of Khachik village in Vayots Dzor province, as well as the road leading to the village, resulting in damage to the community leader’s vehicle.
