2.5 Million Drams Paid for Celebration in Zvartnots Temple Area
A family held a large celebration in the area of the Zvartnots cultural reserve museum after a baptism ceremony. They set up a stage in the monument area, where they feasted, and later, there was a lavish fireworks display. Singer Astghik Sargsyan posted videos in her Instagram stories showing the performers. Among others, she performed alongside Erik, Soso Pavliashvili, Saron, and others.
Aravot.am inquired with Armen Hovhannisyan, the acting director of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports' Protection Service, about the criteria for granting the monument's area for celebrations to specific individuals. Who are they? Can anyone pay to hold a celebration in the reserve-museum area? Is it permissible to install metal structures there? Did this cause any damage to the monument? Is it even allowed to have fireworks in the monument's area?
The acting director stated, "Naturally, we do not know who they are, and we are not interested. The event and everything that took place was, of course, permissible. There were no violations, and nothing was recorded during the event; everything was done according to the established rules."
