A Miracle is Born: Brother of Two Soldiers Killed in the 44-Day War

A miracle was born today at the Erebuni Medical Center—a brother of two soldiers, Gevorg and Karen Gevorgyan, who were killed in the 44-day war.

Gynecologist and reproductive specialist Anush Abrahamyan wrote on her Facebook page, "Our miracle has arrived, whose two brothers were killed in the 44-day war. This little one has brought life to all of us."

26-year-old Gevorg Gevorgyan and 22-year-old Karen Gevorgyan served for two years in the police forces. Shortly after their service, the war broke out, and from the very first days, the brothers fought alongside their comrades for their homeland, first in Karvachar and then in Shushi.

Gevorg and Karen Gevorgyan were killed on November 7 in Shushi. Their bodies, found side by side, were discovered days after their deaths, on November 17. The parents were unaware that their sons were fighting in Shushi as they had kept it a secret. It was only after their deaths that Gevorg's wife revealed to the parents that he had often mentioned they were trapped and could not get out.
