Earthquake Near Bavra Village
On June 27, at 07:49 local time (03:49 GMT), an earthquake registered by the seismic protection territorial service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations occurred in the Armenia-Georgia border area, 13 kilometers northeast of Bavra village, with geographic coordinates of 41.16° N latitude and 43.95° E longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers, with a magnitude of 3.7.
The intensity of the underground shock in the epicenter zone reached 5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Tavshut, Ghazanchi, Arshotsk, Musayelyan, as well as in the Lori region's villages of Paghakhbyur, Metsavan, and Dzoramout at a strength of 4. It was also felt in the cities of Tashir and Vanadzor at a strength of 3.
