The Driver Who Hit Sona Mnatsakanyan Will Remain at Liberty
The Court of Appeals of Armenia has rejected the prosecutor's request to detain the driver of the patrol vehicle accompanying the Prime Minister, who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident with Sona Mnatsakanyan. As a result, the driver will remain at liberty. This was reported on the Facebook page of lawyer Raffi Aslanyan.
“Other aspects of the visible progress of the pre-trial investigation also indicate that everything is being done within the framework of state orders to ensure the impunity of those guilty of the deaths of Sona Mnatsakanyan and her child, including through the destruction of evidence,” emphasized the lawyer.
It is recalled that on the evening of April 26, the first vehicle of the motorcade escorting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan fatally hit a 28-year-old pregnant woman at the Leo-Paronyan intersection.
