Photos: Fire Breaks Out in Volkswagen

Today, on June 24, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 16:50, the 911 emergency management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call that a car was burning at the intersection of Vagarshyan and Aram Khachaturyan streets in the Arabkir administrative district.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, before a firefighting unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene, citizens managed to extinguish the fire that had erupted in a Volkswagen vehicle belonging to 36-year-old Alik Hakobyan.

The patrol officers from the second company of the second battalion of the Yerevan division of the police also arrived promptly, including officers Mher Khechumyan and Taron Sanoyan.

The cause of the fire in the vehicle is currently under investigation.
