63-Year-Old Woman and Her 4-Year-Old Granddaughter Injured in Hit-and-Run in Yerevan
Today, on June 20, a hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:25 PM, a 27-year-old resident of Yerevan, Vladimir A., struck pedestrians with his Mazda 6 vehicle at the beginning of the road leading from Halabyan Street to the Hrazdan Gorge. The victims were identified as 63-year-old Silva V. from Kotayk Province and 4-year-old Maria A. from Yerevan.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. Before the ambulance arrived, he provided first aid to the injured. The duty medical team that arrived promptly transported Silva V. to the Armenia Medical Center. Meanwhile, police officers from the Second Battalion of the Patrol Police of Yerevan, under the command of Lieutenant Levon Badalyan, urgently transported the child to the Armenia Medical Center in their patrol vehicle. After receiving initial treatment, the child was transferred to the Holy Mother of God Medical Center.
Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. The driver underwent a sobriety test and was found to be sober. According to G. Shamshyan's sources, the victims were a grandmother and granddaughter.
