Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Body of 25-30 Year Old Woman Found Under Davitashen Bridge

A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan today, June 11th. Around 5:50 PM, the police department of Mashtots received a call from the Davitashen police station and the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ 911 crisis management center, reporting that a citizen had jumped off the Davitashen bridge.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, police, rescuers, and patrol officers discovered the body of a woman aged 25-30 under the Davitashen bridge.

Currently, law enforcement officials are waiting for a group from the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia’s Yerevan City to arrive, where materials are being prepared regarding the fact.

The police and investigation department are working to identify the deceased. According to G. Shamshyan, the alert was made by the security service officers of the Mashtots police department who were on duty in the Hrazdan gorge.
