Stabbing Near Yerevan's Puppet Theater: 18-Year-Old Injured

On June 7, a stabbing incident occurred in Yerevan, as reported by shamshyan.com. Around 15:00, the Yerevan patrol service received information regarding a dispute taking place near the Puppet Theater at 45 Mashtots Avenue, with reports of potential injuries.

According to shamshyan.com, when the patrol officers arrived, they found nothing initially and dispatched several units to the area. However, shortly after, the patrol noticed two young men, one of whom appeared to be in poor condition. Upon approaching them, the officers determined that one was injured.

The officers called for an ambulance; however, upon observing that the injured person was bleeding profusely from his back, patrol officers Davit Ghazaryan and Henrik Sanoyan quickly transported him in their service vehicle to Number 1 University Hospital, where medical professionals were able to save his life. He is expected to remain under medical supervision for several days.

At the scene, officers apprehended one suspect on suspicion of stabbing and brought him to the central police station. Investigators from the central police station later discovered blood-like traces and the weapon used in the crime.

The injured individual was identified as 18-year-old Alexandr M., a resident of Yerevan, with a diagnosis of "stab wound to the right side of the chest." Investigations are currently underway in the central police department.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, the suspect is identified as 17-year-old Ashot K., a resident of Yerevan, and he has been released.
