After All This, We Cannot Say 'Welcome to NATO': Erdogan

Turkey still does not support Sweden and Finland's accession to NATO. This was stated by the country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a meeting with journalists on June 8.

“Swedish television has interviewed leaders of terrorist groups. After this, we cannot say 'welcome to NATO.' The same applies to Finland,” said the Turkish president.

Additionally, Erdogan stated that Ankara does not believe that nine American military bases are stationed in Greece specifically to counter Russia.
