Ukraine Will Make Concessions: Izvestia
Kiev is ready to make concessions during the next negotiations with Moscow. The status of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions will not be discussed in the new agreement. This was reported to Izvestia by a high-ranking source, noting that "the overwhelming majority of the region's residents support Russia, and the status of Crimea and Donbas remains closed for Moscow," the article states.
According to the publication's interlocutors, the process will depend on how the escalation cycle along the contact line in the DPR and LPR comes to an end. Experts point out that a pause will be observed between the sides in the coming weeks, but this does not guarantee the resumption of dialogue.
“Moscow was ready to stop the special operation back in March during the negotiations of delegations in Antalya. Later, Ukraine itself proposed a neutral status and security guarantees without including Donbas and Crimea. Vladimir Putin was prepared to take that step, but the West pressured Ukraine, and that is why Kiev revoked its proposal,” the expert added.
