Nikol Pashinyan in Qatar
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, arrived in the State of Qatar on June 13 for a two-day official visit.
According to a correspondent from "Armenpress", the Prime Minister was welcomed at Doha International Airport by Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.
The delegation led by the Prime Minister includes Deputy Prime Minister Hambartsum Matevosyan, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Vahram Dumanyan, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, Mayor of Yerevan Hrachya Sargsyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mnatsakan Safaryan, and Rector of Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
During the official visit, the Prime Minister will head to the Emir's Diwan, where he will meet with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. Following the meetings, several documents are expected to be signed.
Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Hambartsum Matevosyan will sign a memorandum of understanding on the conduct of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Qatar. Additionally, a memorandum on information exchange between the "Armenpress" news agency and the Qatar News Agency will be signed. The Minister of Municipality and Environment of Qatar Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Subaie and Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan will sign an agreement on the declaration of sister cities between Yerevan and Doha.
Moreover, the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research of Qatar Bousayna bint Ali Al-Nuaimi and Armenian Minister of Education and Science Vahram Dumanyan will sign an agreement on cooperation in the fields of education, higher education, and scientific research between Armenia and Qatar. The rector of Qatar University Hassan bin Rashid Al-Darham and YSU rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan will sign a cooperation agreement between the two universities.
Agreements related to cooperation in the health and tourism sectors will also be signed between the two countries. At the end of the day, the Prime Minister will meet with the director of the Qatar Investment Agency, Mansour Al-Mahmood.
This is Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's first official visit to the State of Qatar.
