Ukraine Will Have to Make Territorial Concessions, Stoltenberg Says
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated in a press conference with the President of Finland that Kyiv will have to concede part of its territory in order to achieve peace, according to Ria.ru.
"Peace in Ukraine is possible. The question is, what price are you willing to pay for that peace? How much are you willing to sacrifice in terms of territory, independence, sovereignty, freedom, and democracy? And this is a very complex moral dilemma," the official said.
Stoltenberg emphasized that the alliance will continue to support the Ukrainian authorities, but at the same time will do everything possible to avoid escalation with Russia. For this reason, the organization has refused to send its units to Ukrainian territory and has also rejected the possibility of establishing a no-fly zone, he added.
Previously, Vladimir Zelensky remarked that the world is tired of the current crisis, and Kyiv is being pushed toward an unfavorable outcome regarding agreements with Moscow.
