Major Car Accident in Tavush Region: One Fatality

Today, on June 6, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Tavush region. Around 12:00 PM, on the Yerevan-Ijevan-Noyemberyan highway, in the administrative area of Khashtarak village, a collision took place between a Toyota Highlander bearing Georgian license plates and a VAZ 2106 vehicle.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, one person has died at the site of the accident. Emergency responders from the Ijevan Fire and Rescue Service quickly arrived at the scene. The deceased was extracted from the vehicle by rescuers.

The police and the investigation department are working to determine the identities of the drivers and the deceased.
