Robbery at Yerablur: Sister of Fallen Major Targeted

On May 31, at 17:25, the Defense Ministry's military police in Yerevan received a phone report regarding a theft at the "Yerablur" military pantheon-memorial. An unknown individual stole the wallet belonging to M. Khachatryan, the sister of Major Georgi Lyovayi Minasian, who was killed during the 44-day war in Artsakh. The wallet contained cash, bank cards, and other personal items. This was reported by the Defense Ministry.

The Operational Division of the Military Police immediately commenced efforts to identify the perpetrator. The following day, on June 1, as a result of operational-investigative measures, a resident of Yerevan, V. A., was apprehended on Andranik Street. He provided a confession based on the gathered evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Yerevan division of the Defense Ministry's Military Police based on the features of Part 1 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
