People in Artsakh Lack a Sense of Security: Grigoryan

The Human Rights Defender of Armenia emphasized that the most important principle is ensuring sufficient conditions for the realization of all rights of the residents of Artsakh.

“The most crucial aspect is achieving solutions that provide adequate conditions for individuals to live in a secure environment, to have the right to life, to access education for children, to ensure social security rights, and the right to property, including the right to self-determination. This is my fundamental approach,” stated Kristinne Grigoryan during a briefing with reporters in the National Assembly.

She noted that it is currently impossible to speak about the protection of human rights in Artsakh, as people there do not feel secure.

“People have been forced to leave their homes due to very aggressive politics and are unable to exercise their right to property, nor can they realize their right to education,” emphasized the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
