Soldier Who Sustained Gunshot Wound Yesterday Unable to Survive

Despite all efforts made by doctors, Private Davit Vahan Vardanyan, who sustained a gunshot wound on May 28, could not be saved.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of this loss and expresses support to the soldier's family members, relatives, and colleagues, as reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Recall that on May 28, around 10:40 AM, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from firearms of various calibers, including sniper rifles, toward Armenian positions located in the southeastern part of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, resulting in the gunshot injury of conscript soldier, Private Davit Vahan Vardanyan. The soldier's condition was assessed as critical. In response, the fire from Azerbaijani units was silenced.
