40-Year-Old Man Threatens to Jump from the Roof of the Regional Administration in Artashat

On June 1, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. At around 18:50, the Artashat Police Department received a report that a citizen had climbed to the roof of the Ararat Regional Administration building located at 60 August 23 Street in Artashat and was threatening to commit suicide by jumping down.

According to Shamshyan.com, the police determined that the individual was Khajak H., a 40-year-old resident of the Ararat region. The regional police chief and Artashat police chief negotiated with Khajak H. for about 30 minutes, eventually persuading him not to take such a step, and he was brought down from the roof and taken to the police department.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. According to G. Shamshyan's reports, Khajak H. was in an intoxicated state, and a sobriety test has been ordered to determine the level of intoxication.
