Mysterious Incident Near 'Armavir' Penitentiary: Body of Injured Man Discovered
A mysterious incident occurred in the Armavir region yesterday, May 31. Around 1:50 PM, the police department in Vagharshapat received a report that there was a male body near the 'Armavir' penitentiary.
According to Shamshyan.com, the head of the Armavir regional police department, Karen Khachatryan, along with the head of the Vagharshapat police department, Arthur Bdoian, and the deputy head of the same department, Arthur Fishyan, arrived at the scene. The head of the Armavir regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Samvel Tonoyan, as well as the head of the Vagharshapat investigative unit and senior investigator Vardanyan also arrived in response to the report.
The police and investigators found the male body near the concrete bus stop at the intersection known as 'Choban-Kyara,' on the road leading from Ejmiatsin city to the 'Armavir' penitentiary. The deceased was identified as 58-year-old Mekhak Tamoyan, a resident of the Armavir region.
According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, there are bodily injuries present on different parts of the deceased's body. Investigative materials are being prepared for the Vagharshapat investigative department regarding this incident.
