Macron Supports Establishing Direct Ties Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has reaffirmed France's unwavering commitment to the peace treaty negotiations and the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This is stated in Macron's congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day on May 28, according to minval.az.

“Rest assured, I support the positive dynamics that have emerged in recent months and the achievements in establishing direct ties between Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers, as well as in creating a bilateral commission on border issues. Creating an atmosphere of trust is essential for peace in the region,” Macron stated.
