Saghatelyan Made a Statement Before the March

“Starting today, we will begin visiting various state, scientific, and educational institutions with a clear and direct demand: everyone is obliged to express their position regarding the statement adopted in this publication,” announced Ishkhan Saghatelyan, coordinator of the ‘Resistance’ movement, before the march.

Earlier, Saghatelyan had posted the text of the statement on his Facebook page. “Every Armenian must express their position on these vital issues for the people:

• Armenia will support the full realization of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination.
• Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan.
• There must be a reliable land connection between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh; Artsakh will not be an enclave.
• The Republic of Armenia is the guarantor of the security and realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh.
• Border delimitation and demarcation works must be carried out on the condition of the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
• The border delimitation and demarcation processes must not undermine the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.
• In the process of normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations, any agreement that questions the Armenian Genocide is excluded.
• The unblocking of roads with Azerbaijan and Turkey cannot occur on a corridor basis.
