Police Officer Faints Amid Tensions Near Government Building
Members of the resistance movement are currently gathered near the third building of the Government. The police are preventing lawmakers from entering the building. Opposition members attempted to access the building, which led to a scuffle between the officers and the participants of the march.
As a result of the clash, one police officer has fainted.
It is noteworthy that the day before, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and member of the Armenia group, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, stated: “All political forces must orient themselves and express their position; civic organizations and intellectuals, universities must also express their stance. This is a watershed; anyone who wants us to have a state cannot be against this document; these are the minimum requirements for being Armenian and having a state. Starting from Monday, we will consolidate our forces and go door to door; the situation is critical. Anyone who opposes this document is against the people because there is no other opportunity, no other way out, no other path. Starting from Monday at 11:00 AM, we invite all of you to the square; we will be visiting several addresses in turn, and everyone must respond. We need to understand who is for the people and who is against.”
