Gas Exchange Price in Europe Could Rise
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that the gas exchange price in Europe could rise to as much as $5,000 per thousand cubic meters during the winter of 2022-2023.
“Currently, the price at the TTF exchange is around $960 for a thousand cubic meters of gas, but this is because summer is approaching and consumption is low. When winter arrives, I fear that gas prices will increase to $3,500, or perhaps even up to $4,000 or $5,000,” he stated, as reported by TASS.
In this context, he emphasized the importance of the agreement with Russia on gas supplies for a three-year period.
