Erdogan Disappointed with NATO Negotiations with Finland and Sweden

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has stated that he is dissatisfied with the outcomes of negotiations with Swedish and Finnish delegations regarding their NATO membership, TRT television reports.

“Unfortunately, the meeting of the delegations did not take place at the level we expected,” Erdogan said.

Erdogan criticized Finland and Sweden for being “dishonest and insincere,” accusing them of “protecting terrorists.”

“As long as President Erdogan is in power, we cannot unequivocally say ‘yes’ to the NATO membership of countries that support terrorism,” he added.
